RISE multi cable transit
RISE multi cable transits are used for providing cable penetrations with seals that are fire resistant as well as smoke, gas and water tight.
For cable transits, RISE protective sleeves are supplied in only fifteen different sizes. The sleeves are split lengthwise, and can be simply fitted around the cables and then pushed into the transit opening. Once the cables to be ducted have been 'packed' in this way the remaining space is filled up with empty filler sleeves. Lastly, the conduit is closed off with a 2 cm thick layer of fire-resistant, water-repellent and gas-tight FIWA compound. In view of its simplicity and the resultant short installation times, the RISE system is acknowledged as the de facto standard for the sealing of transit openings. It's not for nothing that RISE is also known as the Rapid Transit System.
In order to add extra cables to the transit at a later date, it is only necessary to cut an opening in the FIWA sealant at both sides of the transit. Then the extra cables can be passed through the exposed opening, after which both sides of the transit are re-closed with FIWA sealant.
RISE pipe transit
The RISE system is also used to provide seals that are fire resistant as well as smoke, gas and water tight for transit openings to carry metal and plastic pipes.
To make the fire resistant seal, RISE strips are secured around the pipe, after which the remaining space is packed with empty filler sleeves. Lastly, the transit is closed off with a 2 cm thick layer of fire-resistant, water-repellent and gas-tight FIWA compound. In view of its simplicity and the resultant short installation times, the RISE system is acknowledged as the de facto standard for the sealing of transit openings. It's not for nothing that RISE is also known as the Rapid Transit System.
RISE EMC
RISE EMC is a special modification of the RISE system which offers protection against electromagnetic impulses and interference. This special modification has been developed because transit openings for cables and pipes are a potential source of electromagnetic interference. The RISE EMC rubber, which is kneadable and electrically conductive, guarantees the effective damping of electromagnetic radiation.
The damping values for cable and pipe transits are 52 - >100 dB and 35 - 85 dB respectively.
