Functionality
The basic elements of the RISWAT system are thermoplastic sleeves and inserts (coloured blue) and DRIFIL compound.
The purpose of the sleeves is to keep the cables spaced sufficiently apart, while the inserts are used to pack the open space in the transit and to create a subsurface for the sealant compound. |
 |
The sleeves are available in lengths of 60, 80, 90, 110, 120, 140, 160, 500
mm and 1 m, which can simply be cut to the desired length. The minimum functional length of the sleeves is 50 mm.
 |
DRIFIL compound has a short setting time and bonds tightly to steel, concrete and synthetic
subsurfaces.
Furthermore the compound is permanently flexible, and therefore minor settlements and movements in the
cables/pipes can be absorbed after setting. |
